Crash at milepost 8 of highway 18, vehicle left the roadway westbound and crashed into driveway embankment. Car flipped onto its roof. Male driver and female passenger were transported to North Lincoln Hospital with unknown injuries. Driver was identified and circumstances showed he was impaired while driving. Search warrant was obtained and blood seized as per the warrant. Female passenger unidentified. Driver was cited for reckless driving and DUI. Vehicle towed by Car Care. Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office and North Lincoln Fire and Pac West assisted at the crash scene.

Narrative Summary
On 1/18/21 at approximately 5:41 pm I was dispatched to a single vehicle crash which occurred on US 101 near mile post 125. The involved vehicle, a black Ford Expedition (709HUV) had been reported just before the crash as a driving complaint. The Ford was southbound when it drove off the shoulder and crashed into an earthen embankment. The vehicle went into a cartwheel-style rollover then came to an uncontrolled rest on its wheels facing north. During the crash investigation multiple witnesses reported the vehicle passing them in an unsafe manner and driving erratically prior to the crash. The driver admitted to distracted driving which led to the crash. The driver was cited and released on charges of Reckless Driving and multiple counts of Recklessly Endangering a Person. The vehicle was towed from the scene by Car Care Towing.
