A 17-year-old Waldport girl was killed Friday, Oct. 16 when her car collided with another car on U.S. Highway 101 near South Beach State Park south of Newport.
Victoria Cornelio-Fisher of Waldport died at Samaritan Pacific Communities Hospital in Newport from injuries suffered in the crash, according to a news release from Newport police.
Police said Corelio-Fisher was driving south on Highway 101 about 2:48 p.m. Friday when for unknown reasons her car crossed the center line and collided with a car driven by Sidsel Thompkins, 74, of Eugene.
Corelio-Fisher was alone in her car, police said. Tompkins, and her passenger, Michael Tompkins, 76, of Eugene, were taken to the Newport hospital for treatment of injuries.
My good friend Krista lost her 17 year old daughter Victoria in a fatal car accident yesterday. If you have a few dollars to spare to help her with the funeral costs that would be wonderful. If not please at least share this post!
