Samaritan hospice program seeks quilts for annual auction

The hospice program at Samaritan Pacific Communities Hospital in Newport is seeking donated quilts for its annual Quilts for Hospice auction Sept. 30. Proceeds from the sale of quilts is used to fund services not covered by most insurance plans. These services may include music therapy, massage therapy and other discretionary items supporting patients at the end of their lives.
